Better Than A Bucket List

As I sit down to write this week’s newsletter, I'm reminded of the countless miracles that unfold within us each day, often unnoticed amidst the hustle and bustle of life. We are intricate universes of cells, each one dancing to the rhythm of life, keeping us alive and thriving. It's easy to overlook these marvels when we're caught up in the daily grind, but they are there, quietly reminding us of our extraordinary nature.

Consider, for a moment, the fact that your heart beats approximately 100,000 times a day, tirelessly pumping blood to nourish every cell in your body. Your body is in a constant state of adaptation, always evolving to keep you safe and comfortable. From the softness of your fingertips to the involuntary shiver that warms you when you're cold, your body is a masterpiece of design and functionality.

But it's not just your physical body that is extraordinary. Think about the unique qualities that make you who you are – the flicker of colour in your eyes, the freckle on your nose, the sound of your laughter. You are one-in-billions, a one-of-a-kind masterpiece crafted by the universe itself.

As we prepare to embark on our journey of self-discovery at the Embrace Your Extraordinary retreat, I invite you to take a moment to reflect on your own extraordinary qualities. What sets you apart from the rest? What makes you uniquely you?

To guide you on this journey, I encourage you to create an 'Extraordinary' list – a collection of the remarkable qualities that make you who you are. Take a few moments each day to practise heart breathing, allowing yourself to connect with your innermost self. Ask yourself, “what is one thing extraordinary about me?” or if that feels like a stretch, try, “what is one thing I like about me?”. Now, I want you to write down and begin making the list of things that make you extraordinary in your own eyes. Because as much as I can tell you that you are extraordinary, this activity helps you to realise it yourself. 

My hope is that you will walk away with a deeper sense of self-awareness and a newfound appreciation for your own extraordinary nature.
